Colour-blind student

SOLVED

Hi, I recently discovered that I have a colour-blind student who can't distinguish between red and green when checking his answers, so that in multiple-choice "underline" exercises he can't know which answers are correct and which aren't.

I seem to remember I can change the colours manually for each worksheet, but that would take me forever as I am using TopWorksheets every day and we have done quite a few ones this year already. Could you think of a more practical solution? Maybe a special button that changes the wrong answers from red to blue, or shows a cross or a tick next to each answer? Or is there a way to change the colours of many worksheets at the same time, maybe in this student's account configuration?

I know I am asking a lot, but since you seem to be able to do magic, I thought it was worth asking. :-)

Hi Juan José,

We will investigate how to achieve that and we will get back to you.

Kind regards.

Hi Juan José,

One of the options that we have considered for solving this issue is adding the possibility to choose the correct and incorrect colors that will be applied to the answers on a custom score system.

Do you think that would solve this particular issue?

Thanks.

It would if it can be set in the student's account configuration, so that it works in all the worksheets. Do you think you could do that?

If it is not technically possible, I can live with having to remember to configure the colours for each worksheet I use from now on. I really appreciate your efforts to make the site more useful for our students.

Hi,

It's not possible to do on a student account basis, but as you are using mainly closed groups if you create a custom score system (if we add the feature to select correct and incorrect colors) for this student and assign a task only to him I think it would solve the issue. What do you think?

Excellent idea, I can't wait to see his face when he finds out you added this feature! Thank you so much!

Hi Juan José,

We just rolled out the new feature that allows to choose the colors of the correct, incorrect and open-ended questions' answers.

If you create or edit a score system you will see the new fields that allow you to select the colors.

We hope this is useful for you.

Kind regards.

I have been trying it out, it works wonderfully! Thank you so much!!

If anyone out there wants to see how it works, you can use my images to save time; they are available from my profile homepage.
