Meet Jason

Today's lesson hero, Jason, got into trouble recently. Let's read the first part of his story and find out what happened.

It wasn't just a usual morning. It was THE morning, because it was the day when Jason was going to Thailand to celebrate his birthday! 🎂
Jason took a shower, had his breakfast, and checked his suitcase.

Everything was OK until he tried to call the taxi — that was when everything went wrong. He waited for 10 minutes, but nobody came! He called again. "Oh, sorry, sir. We confused your address with another client's! Your driver will be there in five minutes," said the operator. 🚕

When the taxi arrived, he took his suitcases and hurried down.
The minute he got into the taxi, Jason realised he didn't have his passport. "Just a minute, I've forgotten my passport!" Jason ran back home.

When he was back in the taxi, he looked at his watch ⌚— he had an hour and a half before the flight. Not that bad. Suddenly, the car stopped. "What's wrong?" asked Jason. "My car has broken down," said the taxi driver. 🚖

Jason looked at his watch nervously; he didn't have time to look for another taxi, so he took the risk and used the underground. He arrived 20 minutes before the flight but spent too much time going through security! ✈

Finally, he was in the departure hall — 2 minutes before the flight. "But wait! Why is the gate closed? Oh no, they changed the gate!"
Jason heard the announcement that his plane just left and thought, "It's a failed birthday." 😥
