“Growing Up: Key Moments” TGA Brainstorming

Eventually, you will respond to the following:

“Growing Up: Key Moments” outlines several instances that can occur in a person’s life that seem monumental to them. “On Turning Ten” details a specific moment that was monumental to the speaker.

Pick a “key moment” from either text that you have felt similarly to in your own life and explain how the text was like your experience. Explain your answer fully and support it with evidence from the text.

In BORs, you’re going to brainstorm events from your own childhood that are similar to key moments talked about in “Growing Up: Key Moments” and “On Turning Ten”

You may not have a “matching moment” from your own life for every event from the article and the poem. THAT’S OKAY. Just respond to the ones you do have.

You can either write your memory on the board in the BOR to share with the class, or write it on this worksheet to keep for yourself. Or both!
